The AKG C520 is a very lightweight neckband vocal microphone for singers, musicians, dancers and presenters. The voice is reproduced particularly clearly and powerfully due to a slight frequency boost in the treble range.
Microphones with cardioid polar pattern pick up sound from the front. This makes the microphone insensitive to feedback and well shielded from ambient noise. The microphone capsule of the AKG C520 L is elastically mounted. Disturbing background noise caused by the singer's movements is thus reduced to a minimum. The miniature gooseneck allows the microphone to be optimally aligned. It can be attached to the right or left side of the neckband as desired.
The neckband is made of spring steel, is continuously adjustable and can be perfectly adapted to the head size. Due to its low weight, the AKG C520 is comfortable to wear. To protect the microphone capsule from moisture such as sweat, the microphone has a drip ring.
The AKG C520 is a condenser microphone and requires a power supply (phantom power) of 9 - 52 volts. It can be connected to the microphone input of the mixing console or to a phantom power supply via the XLR connector.
The microphone is also available with a mini-XLR connector as the AKG C520 L. It can be connected to AKG wireless system pocket transmitters or to a phantom power supply.
